Let me get started by wishing you a very happy and prosperous new year. I wish this new year would be more delightful and encouraging to one and all.
“I am a MVP” – huh…a heavy weight sentence from my heart. Continuing with this post will let you know the reason why I mentioned it as heavy weight. First let me quickly reconcile a bit of my past.
Three years back when I first stepped into ASP.Net 2.0 coding, I am a very good Electrical Engineer. I did research in EE, Control Systems blah blah blah…, with a good knowledge base in EE and when everything going perfect in Control Systems Design, suddenly I started looking up (till date I don’t know the reason exactly) for something to make it as a HOBBY (folks knows, being an EE you tend to get mechanical body parts and analog signals in your mind at some or the other point, where we need some other option to take out analog signals from our mind). I want to paint, learn guitar, play sports etc (OMG – Immediately realized that those are not going to be my ALICES’ in my wonderland).
Then came the point of coding, I felt excited. But the problem would be in EE there will be Analog signals (in my mind), and in coding it will be bunch of bugs
. But there is something going in my mind which is pounding my heart towards writing code. Okay 1…2….3…. Go….I got started….
I tried different languages starting with C, continuing with C++ and then stepping into Java then finally landed up with VB.Net and C#. Then started my journey with ASP.Net – which is still continuing (even this second in time). Slowly it turned up into passion than just a hobby. I love to code anything and everything, I love to get stumbled by loads of bugs (exceptions), I love to take new challenges and keep moving forward with new technologies. I simply love ASP.Net
.
It is because of two persons – Sanjay (Friend) and Srikanth Pragada (my technical mentor) – based on whose advice of “Try to make your PASSION to CAREER”, I opted to Coding rather than to my EE (but still EE is my hidden best). Over the time, I gave my consultation to many professionals all around the world and I took guidance from many wonderful and exception technical people around the clock. Last year (2010), I stepped into the professional world of coding as Software Engineer. And my quest continues….
At this junction I have to talk about Technical Evangelism, in my perspective we can’t separate Technical Professional with Technical Evangelist. Every professional is an evangelist (to himself). Being evangelist got an edge over being professional I mean you can get to review yourself from different contextual experiences which roll over in time. And my interest in reading/writing/speaking made me to go in the direction of tuning myself as a technical contributor. I have to thank people (professionals) from forums.asp.net who corrected and who got corrected by me. I should not forget many eminent MVP’s who contributed extraordinary knowledge through their writings.
Now comes my reasoning to the “Heavy Wight” term – Truly and sincerely I am not a MVP, but those who made me MVP by their consistent support and encouragement should deserve this MVP Award rather than me. There are many persons in my life, who always made themselves invisible in my success, and now let me make them visible –
FAMILY –
- My Parents – V V Ramanaiah & V V Raja Kumari (they always gave their best to their only child).
- My Maternal Uncle – K Shivaaji (Always a Chief mentor in my life, who is at my availability throughout).
- My complete Family – Uncles, Aunts, Kids and especially my grand parents (I owe them a lot, they are my first teachers). I can’t write names of more than 100 persons
.
WELL WISHERS –
- Chandra Shipping – Mr. Govind (who exposed me to the professional world with his contacts)
- Symbiosys Technologies – Mr. Shyam Kolluru (who helped me with his guidance and expertise in securing a job)
- Mr. Prasad (who motivates me in research world)
- Late Mr. Sai Kishore (who supported me through his guidance for 4 excellent years of my undergraduate studies)
- Dr. Fumio Hamano (My Professor from CSULB, who introduced me to the world of research and analytical reasoning)
TECHNICAL MENTOR –
- Mr. Srikanth Pragada – Srikanth Technologies (who introduced me to this fascinating world of ASP.Net 3 years ago and who keeps on investigating my steps in the technology, seriously without his guidance, I wouldn’t be in coding world)
IDEAENTITY (My Employer) –
- Mr. RK Vadlani (who identified me from countless professionals, who trusted me and opened my career gates, I truly owe him a lot)
- Mr. Stephen Verstraete (my Technical mentor, teacher, judge, reviewer – he is in the process of making this stone into monument)
- Mr. Venu Yerra (drives me to think deeply in my life, mentors me on most common things especially communication and business process)
- Mr. Young-Suk Yu (best buddy, I have never seen anybody helping me more than Young, Exceptional person with exceptional heart, I owe him much more than a heartfelt thanks).
- Mr. Daniel Duda (friend with whom I share nice conversations in the evenings, without him my last project would be a disaster)
- Mr. John Strathy (person who took my responsibility for last 4 months, my mentor in all fields, proficient speaker who gives nicest possible advices and plans, extraordinary financial management qualities)
- Tim, Daisy, Chris, Brian, Joseph, Stacy, Elif, Tushar – my colleagues and wonderful persons who are helping me in my day to day accomplishments. I feel myself blessed to have these marvelous people around me.
- My India Office Colleagues, even with limited interaction with them, I had extensive influence from their successful careers.
MICROSOFT –
- Mr. Shravan Ananth (my Windows Azure Mentor, its on his vision, I started thinking of MVP in Azure)
Now comes the interesting part –
My Friends –
- My friends from last 9 years, they have seen all my emotions – Sanjay Mylapilli (upcoming Music Director), Siva Krishna (MBA – Logistics), Goutham Reddy (Cognos Reporting), Ravi Kiran (Electrical Officer – Shipping), Sagar Cherukuri (Oracle DBA), Sarath Meruga (Linux Admin), Ravindra (SAP Consultant), Johnny (my brother – Contractor/Business man), Soma Sekhar (Electrical Engineer), Praveen (Sr Electrical Engineer) – We rise together and we stay together. I wish all my friends wishes come true and have enormous growth in their personal and professional life. In simple words, they are my life.
- My USA friends – Naveen Roperia (SQL Server), Gagandeep Singh Gill (Electrical Engg), Kumaran (Network Engineer), Sravanthi (Testing Consultant) , Suresh Suryadevara (VMware Technology), Santhos Dhoomse (Network Engineer). These are special persons in my life, no matter where I am they will find me, and no matter where they are, I will find them.
- My Childhood friends – Keerthi, Ali, Subhash, Kiran.
- Special thanks to Rebecca Babitha (Sr Software Engineer), Saira (.Net Professional & Lecturer), Betsy (Lecturer).
Last but not least A.Niraj Kumar, my Web Designer and Programmer – who helped me with me website from last 2 years. Mike Brind, Scott Mitchell, Steve Wellens, Mike Banavige, Kris, MetalAsp.Net, Peter, Harry, Scott Hanselman, Imar, Stephen Walther, Julia Lermann…and my list continues (I am secret admirer for their .Net Knowledge), Hajan Selmani (.Net Evangelist & Professional), Sarfraz Khokher, William Van Dalan, Vivek Thakur etc.
IMPORTANT:
I know I missed lot of names (sorry for my bad memory). It doesn’t mean that I neglected, I will keep on update this list with forgotten names. Apologies in advance for those great people in my life.
Finally “ J A S H ”…..don’t ask me about that word…..
